First, we had our second public meeting of Franklin County Right to Life (almost two weeks ago) and it was wonderful! Amy Hanley gave a testimony of how God worked in her life through having cancer and being pregnant - at the same time! What a wonderful story God has given her to share. She ended by talking about praising God even in the valley, which made me think of the song in my heart that carried me through my darkest valley, Jesus Loves Me. Simple. Yet profound.
So, I stood and praised God and led a room full of grown people singing Jesus Loves Me.
I LOVE my job!
My dear Gen from GRTL spoke a little and several people asked really good questions.
I had just seen bits and pieces of a show on feminism (spit) and was disturbed to see the differences in people's stance on abortion. (Of course I talked too). "They" say, "one in three women will need an abortion in her life," while "we" say, "life is precious and worth protecting at all stages, and the 1 in 4 women who have had to endure a life-taking abortion can find healing and forgiveness, and we want to love them no matter what."
"They" see "need" - "We see "misinformed want".
"They" take life. "We" offer life and hope and a future through the One with the perfect plan.
It's a Love thing.
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because
God is love.
This is how God showed his love among us:
He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him."
1 John 4:7-9 (NIV)

Second, Papa is doing GREAT!!!! He is OUT of the sling and is getting ready to go to his first physical therapy this afternoon. And he is being a GREAT patient (thank goodness)!
Lastly, the boys went to the regional Pinewood Derby and had a great time. As a bonus, Alex came in Forth place in the race and Elijah (drum roll . . .) came in FIRST!!!!
We are sort of surprised at their success - although they did work really hard on their cars, and got to spend a little extra time with Daddy and some other men, but we are really thrilled and proud.
This weekend they are headed down to Camp Kaleo for the State tournament.
