Sitting here

Pictures from last weekend.
We had dinner with Morticia and Marilyn.
So we don't do a certain holiday - but who can resist the "dress-up" bargains when you go for candy.
Friday was our home school group's elementary craft day.

Thanks to our friend Grace who walked around with my camera so I could stay with the little boys.

The one on the left is Josiah's. We hope that the big girls make these cute cans
at their craft day. We may use these instead of stockings this year.
After three rooms full of crafty fun we ate. That was fun too!
Saturday Jacob got to go hunting with his Daddy.
He was SO excited and Gene said he did great in the woods. (Better than some of the older "hunters"). Our expert hunter still hasn't even seen a deer.
The date on all those pictures is wrong. But I don't know how to fix it or get rid of it.

I'll not mention my disappointment in the results of our recent election.

I will mention that just before election day I finished a book called God's Smuggler. Its about a man called Brother Andrew who followed God's call to reach out to the church behind the Iron Curtain (do most people my age or younger know about the "Iron Curtain"?). After many year of  his willingness and desire to help his brothers and sisters in these suffering churches a ministry sprang up called Open Doors. Much like Voice of the Martyrs they offer help to today's persecuted church.
Yes. There are still Christians being persecuted for their faith. In some countries, ANY faith is seen as weakness. And these people need OUR help.

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them;
and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
~ Hebrews 13:3~

Anyway. I believe that the state of our own dear USA is such that . . . well, pray to stand strong. Cling to the cross. Make sure your citizenship in Heaven.
God is still Sovereign. And we trust in Him.

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
 ~Psalms 118:6~
